From being an original Suicide groupie, to being a defining part of the No Wave scene and touring as The Cure’s support act during their Pornography-era, this spoken word poet has collaborated with anybody who means anything in today’s culture including Sonic Youth and Nick Cave.  

“The Gun is Loaded” is a 37 minutes rant, performed at the end of the Reagan years, mixing social commentary with her own personal anger and she is really really angry. Politicians, parents, men & American consumerism all take a beating!

The bottom line? Life is depression, despair, and death. Lunch is the girl next door gone bad. Which makes us, her audience? Compliant sheep!
